Thrilled with Our New Deck and Screened Porch

A Wonderful, Outstanding Job
Dwight, Jason, and their team did a wonderful, outstanding job with my addition. The floor plans they drew up were breathtaking. My master bath & walk in closet, and half bath and main bath look so good. I now have a sunroom added and deck.

I Finally Have a Beautiful, Big, Functional Kitchen!
We had debated for years if we wanted to put the effort and money into our current house. We contacted a handful of contractors about having our kitchen redone as well as opening it up into our living room. Multiple contractors wouldn’t give us the time of day because our budget wasn’t massive. When Dwight came back with his initial quote and floorplan it was just a bit more than we felt made sense for this current house. Without asking, he said let me see what else I can come up with. He reached back out shortly later with a plan that was perfect and within what we were comfortable spending when others wouldn’t even call us back. His structure for breaking up the total worked great as well! You sometimes hear horror stories with contractors and how much money you give up front and never hear from them, not with Dwight! He communicated with us a lot through the whole process and updated us on crews, schedules, approximate times they would be at our house, what they’d be working on, etc. Nearly every single thing we reached out and asked about (regardless of adding, asking about an idea, or making sure something was noted) he had already factored in! There was even a time he had come in after one of his subs and he wasn’t crazy about something and had it redone without us even noticing. He also has a few of his own guys, Jason and Brian, who did things at the house throughout and they were wonderful! Extremely nice, sweet to our dog, made sure to clean up after themselves, made sure the gate to our fence was closed when they left. Overall, we had a great experience and a house that we once didn’t like, didn’t function well for us and made us want to move is now a house that we love! I finally have a beautiful, big, functional kitchen!! We would definitely work with Dwight and Build Moore Exteriors again!

Our New Screened Porch Turned Out to be Absolutely Beautiful
My wife and I contacted Build Moore Exteriors to add on a screen porch to our house. We wanted a porch that would be like a room on our house. My wife had a good idea of what she wanted but we both lack knowledge of how a high quality screen porch would be built. Dwight was wonderful to work with. He communicated his knowledge to us very well. He offered advice to us on the many topics where we needed advice. He was always right. Our porch tuned out to be absolutely beautiful and we love it. It is not only lovely to look at, but it is also very well built and very solid. We would definitely choose them again for future projects.

Three Bathrooms Renovated in the past 10 years
Dwight’s team has now renovated 3 bathrooms in total for us over the past 10 years. We wouldn’t have called them back if their work hadn’t been excellent! We trust them in our home and they always come in at budget – no surprises. We definitely recommend!

A Complex Project from the Start!
This was a complex project from the start! My single-parent, full-time employee, mother-of-two daughter was unable to oversee a back porch extension to her home, so communication with Dwight Moore was critical; it went perfectly. I had also contracted with a landscape company that completely redesigned and replanted my daughter’s front, side, and back yards; that work had to also be remotely managed and coordinated with Build Moore Exteriors. Dwight promised to communicate openly, clearly, and regularly with me; that required a large leap of faith with only one mid-project trip from New Orleans to Durham to validate the information and photos that he sent regularly. It could not have gone smoother.
The choice to use Build Moore Exteriors was primarily based on my trust that Build Moore Exteriors would perform and communicate as promised; the price, while also fair and reasonable, was not the determining factor as lower bids had been received. I use this project as an example that shopping for the lowest-priced proposals is not necessarily the best way to make a construction decision; trust in the builder, I would argue, is far more important. My daughter and I (as well as her two children) could not be more pleased with our decision. If we have another project, I would use Build Moore Exteriors without hesitation. I recommend this company without any reservation.

Thrilled with Kitchen Renovation
My husband and I are thrilled with the results of our kitchen renovation. We have known for some time that we needed an overhaul especially to accommodate our blended family gatherings of many cooks… and my aching knees! Dwight led us down the design & product selection path while Stuart put all the pieces together. They make a great, professional team and ensured we were happy throughout the project! Despite our adding some work to adjacent rooms, the project was completed in the planned time frame (8 weeks), on budget, and to perfection! Dwight and Stuart take pride in their work and expect the same of any outside contractors. They had to be creative at times since the house is a 1974 vintage but their ideas were sound, and carpentry was excellent. The pictures show just how beautiful and functional the kitchen is now. We recommend them highly without hesitation!

Review: Four jobs Completed by Build Moore Exteriors
We have worked with Build Moore on four jobs at our home — installation of exterior venting for our stove/oven; the upgrade of two bathrooms (new tiled showers, new floors, new fittings); and the construction of a new screen porch. In each case, Dwight skillfully interpreted our needs into an excellent design and specification, and Stuart did a superb job of both managing subcontractors and carrying out high quality finishing work — his attention to detail was terrific. We could not be happier with all four projects and will not hesitate to work with Build Moore again or recommend them to others.

Sunroom, Bathroom and More!
Mr. Moore and Stuart did a superb job in fixing my sunroom and bathroom floors AND an awesome job with installing a new granite kitchen countertop and backsplash. I would recommend them 110%. I have a future job for them in the Spring! Use Build Moore if you want the job done right.

I have had several jobs, large and small, done by Dwight Moore, and could not be happier. Dwight made sure that everything was just right. He is so easy to work with, always ready to help and advise, and takes pride in the details and making sure the customer is happy. I will definitely be using his team in the future.

Second Floor Master Bath Remodel
Project: Second-floor master bath remodel – including significant floor repair because of old water damage, and window replacement
It couldn’t have gone better. The work is beautiful and Dwight and Stuart were a pleasure to work with – always on time, always told me exactly what was going to happen and when, so no surprises. From my initial contact to the end of the project, no communication went unanswered for more than a few hours and all information provided was accurate and easy to understand. The project was done sooner than expected AND did not go one penny over the original agreed-upon estimate. We were thrilled with the entire process and will certainly use Build Moore again.
